Icelandic sheepskin can be identified by two unique natural characteristics, the long wool and unmistakable colouring.
These traits have been preserved over the many years through limited human contact.
The distinctive natural colouring varies slightly. No two fleece is the same, each will vary in colour.
Available in limited numbers, the rare grey skin has natural variations from dark charcoal grey tones, though to warm browny greys and the lightest shade of greyish white.
The wool length varies from 10 – 20 cm, with a fine undercoat and a longer top coat.
Each skin has has been tanned through an environmentally friendly process. All tanning agents used in tanning and finishing process meet essential European Union directives concerning the environmental preservation & protection.
